RHINOPLASTY

Nose aesthetics, also known as Rhinoplasty, is an operation that changes the size and shape of the nose and has a very important place in facial aesthetics.

Why do patients apply to us?

If a patient is uncomfortable with the shape of his nose (wide or narrow), size (short-long), arched or wide or low nose tip, he needs rhinoplasty.

So what kind of path is followed in this process?

After our patients reach us, they tell me what they want and their expectations in a face-to-face meeting. In this context, as a result of the facial analysis performed with the patient's expectation, it is discussed in detail how much this can adapt to the patient and whether these expectations can be met or whether the patient needs an additional intervention. If filling procedure (filler or fat injection) or lip lift operation is required for deficiency in the forehead or chin area of the patient, it may be necessary to combine it with this operation.

What do I do in the surgery, how do I do it?

If the patient has not had any nose surgery before and does not have an extremely deformed (trauma-related) nose, I perform the surgery with the closed technique. I have been applying all of the protective techniques that you have heard a lot lately for many years. In other words, I aim to protect the patient's tissues as much as possible, and to get a more natural and permanent result. however, I do what the patient needs during the operation, whichever technique is appropriate.

What is Open Technique-Closed Technique, and for whom?

No incision is made from the nose tip of the patient with closed technique surgery. In the open technique, an incision is made at the tip of the nose. Here is the problem; It is the irreversible cutting of the ligaments that support the nose inside after a skin incision rather than a small scar and cannot be repaired.

However, this is not a situation that will confuse the patient. because it's not about the patient, it's about the doctor. So you should know that; Whichever technique your doctor gets better results with is the best technique. Because these are ways of reaching the same truth in different ways. If there was an absolute truth about this, that is, if there was an agreement on which technique was superior, all surgeons would do it anyway. What you have to think about is what you want!! If your doctor has understood you correctly, it doesn't matter which technique is used.

So why do I do closed technique?

1- Obtaining more natural results as the patient's tissues are protected

2- The effect of the procedure performed during the operation can be seen and followed immediately

3- As a result, this work is my signature. I don't want any scars, even small ones

Are my nasal bones broken during the surgery?

No, it used to be done by breaking bones with a sharp tool and hammer. Now, with the development of technology, more tools support us in this regard. With the Piezo device, which works with the help of ultrasonic sound waves, I shape the bones not by breaking them, but by cutting them. Depending on the structure of the bones, uncontrolled fractures could occur in the old methods, but the main advantage is that everything is controlled in this method.

How is the post-surgery process?

After the surgery, there may be swelling and bruising depending on the skin type, nose size and genetic condition. Of course, the surgical technique and the devices such as the piezo-motor used are of great importance here. The bruises that occur will pass within 1 week. If the patient has breathing problems and septum intervention is performed, the silicone nasal pads placed in the surgery are removed painlessly within 3-7 days.

The patient's nasal splint is removed 7-10 days later and the patient meets his new nose. What he sees from this moment is not the result. Because the nose is very edematous. here, the patient should pay attention to the shape of the nose and the shape of the bones and cartilages. The skin on it is very swollen, so the massage they will do for the first month will help about 50% of these swellings to disappear. Depending on the skin thickness and genetic structure of the patient, this may of course change. The final nose state is usually completed within 1 year. The patient can continue his daily life after the 1st week and can do light exercises after the 2nd week. After 2 months, he can start doing sports. It is forbidden to wear glasses for 6 weeks. In this process, it is recommended to use edema-relieving supplements.
